First day of September.
Today's lesson:
1. Students reviewed phonics and spelling for August and September. They will practice how to write the date every day. π
2. Reviewed phonics "ai" and "ay", (long a)
ai - placed in the middle as in: snail, tail, mail.
ay - placed at the end as in : stay, gray, play.
3. reviewed vocabulary #1 - 11
Homework:
1. Write vocab #6-11 x 4 times
2. Make 3 sentences using a VW. (Students are told they can make short sentences. They can refer to the following examples. )
a) This train is gray.
b) An elephant has a long tail.
c) I paid $100 for the school bag.
d) She puts a pail on the tray.
